Executor Trenia Winters of Aphora fights to save the city of Aelia, and the last of her people, from the Fall that saw it locked in stasis six hundred years ago.
She joined the party at the Battle of AITA, and has traveled with them since.
Trenia Winters is a small, fast-moving soldier, silver hair and a rapier at her hip. She's still a bit of a cold soul, but the warmth of Fire is creeping back into her. Strands of red are growing back into her hair, and her eyes glow like forges in the dark.
She's rarely without her Wings of Flying, to the point that they're practically a part of her.
Trenia and Kathika Trendant survived the Program for Transmortal Augmentation together. Afterwards, they parted ways when Trenia returned to military service to be reunited with XP-F9-X.
Rayna Pike was Trenia's wingmate after the Program, and gave her the nickname "Firebird". They grew closer as Trenia healed, until Rayna's death at the Battle of the Gold-Leaf Hills.
Trenia Winters came of age in the Aphoran Empire in the last years before the Collapse. She joined the Aphoran military, was recognized as having potential, and recruited into the mechanized corps. She piloted multiple classes of mech over three years, and developed a reputation as a daring, fast pilot. And a distant one- Kathika gave her the nickname "Ice Queen" and it stuck.
Trenia was partnered with XP-F9, one of the final and most powerful XP-series golems. She was powered by a Rift-Blown Generator, and they both quickly developed an affinity for the element of Fire.
Approximately five years before the Collapse, Trenia and XP-F9 responded to a significant incident in the Elemental Plane of Fire. Her wing lead, pilot of XP-F1, went down in the incursion, and Trenia rallied into the Plane of Fire to save the lives of the Aphoran personnel there, including Kathika Trendant.
It was there that she encountered the phoenix. Trenia and the Herald of the Inferno fought until she broke the phoenix's embodiment- and rather than use the last of her strength to break the phoenix's egg, she turned away. F9 was heavily damaged, Trenia burned, and Kathika and her team barely pulled them out of the plane.
Three months later, the Program for Transmortal Augmentation made her an offer. They could rebuild F9, if she would join. And she did.
Trenia had bonded deeply with F9, and her power source of Fire, in the course of flying her. The Program used the remnants of Fire in her arcane self, and a phoenix talon catalyst, to infuse Fire deep into Trenia's being. She burned away on the operating table, before rising, phoenix-like from the ashes.
After the Program was shut down, Trenia and XP-F9-X were reunited, and assigned to the Twelfth Mobile Infantry. There, they met Rayna "Summer" Pike and XP-F7, and fought alongside them until the end of the world.
As the Twelfth was deploying for the Battle of the Gold-Leaf Hills, F9-X had starting issues, and could not deploy. Trenia missed the battle that destroyed the rest of her unit, and was moved to Aelia for the final stand, where she was caught in the stasis field.
Trenia Winters came out of stasis when the field faltered on the 28th of Autumn, 628 years later, to a world changed.
She gathered the other survivors that she could find, military and civilian, and they made their way away from Aelia, the stasis field, and the fragments of the undead army that had also been freed. A month into their survival, they were joined by Cassandra of Talem, as the primary threat became Rhodia, led by General Astore Weiss. After a running battle, the Aelian remnant dug in at the AITA Museum on the 78th of Autumn. The rest of Cerr's Thorns arrived four days later to lift the siege, end General Weiss, and return to Cerr aboard the AES Allisandras.
She traveled with the party to Talem to rescue the Empress Seresia, and has traveled with the party since.
In the fight in the Heart of Memory, she called on her connection to Fire and declared herself of it, first to power XP-F9-X and then to burn away Zotz's aspect of fire, and by extension, their control over the element. In the aspect's ashes she found a talon of the same phoenix she'd battled, embedded there since the war in which Zotz had conquered Fire.
